PSG-Inter Milan: Ticketing for the final has left many Parisians unhappy

Like Inter Milan, PSG has 18,000 tickets available for the Champions League final, to be held on May 31 at Munich’s Allianz Arena. The Parisian club had planned three waves of sales for its supporters, giving priority to the oldest ones. In the end, two were enough, and judging by the comments on social networks, the organization has left many disappointed.

As explained on the club’s website, wave 1 was aimed at season ticket holders who had been with the club for at least a year, and who had attended 75% (in the virage) or 50% (for the most expensive stands) of matches in person. Number 2 was for subscribers who had also been with the club for one year, and who had physically attended between 3 and 10 matches at the Parc des Princes this season. The last one was for everyone else. To purchase one or more tickets, interested parties had to wait for a code sent by e-mail, then log on to the UEFA website.

But the first batch, which ran from May 9 to 13, was such a hit that by the end only some 5,000 places remained. These were all gone in a matter of minutes during the second wave, leaving many fans frustrated.

Some complained of having received their codes too late, others of not having been able to finalize their purchase. Among other malfunctions. I’ve been a subscriber for 17 years, and I’ll be at home on May 31 while some guys are doing business by selling tickets for €1,500-2,000,“ wrote one Internet user on X. ”Thank you PSG for this catastrophic management. Thank you PSG for this catastrophic management and respect for your fans, don’t change a thing. Or rather, change everything.

In general, many lamented a lack of communication on the part of the club, which apart from the basic explanation of the system, failed to alert fans to the precise opening hours of the ticket office. “What a fiasco. You wait all day for the famous e-mail, connect 3 minutes after receiving it and then it’s dead,” laments another fan. Depressed.”

To conclude, we’d like to share this long message from a subscriber who’s been with us “since I was a kid”, somewhere between sadness and irony:

“Who would have imagined that this ”organized” ticketing by wave would provoke such an emotional tsunami? When I left the Parc last Wednesday, my head was already in Munich, with my fellow season ticket holders, to support you. And then… disaster! Complex communication, a dubious wave system, a seniority bonus that wasn’t respected, an e-mail received at 7.30pm for some people in wave 2… And then the emotional elevator. I’m one of the lucky ones who were able to log on to the UEFA ticketing system, I had even added my 2 tickets to my basket, I shouted with joy, and then… “ERROR”. This is worse than Kimpembe’s handball in the 90th minute, even worse than Sergi Roberto’s penalty in the 95th minute! I’m inconsolable.”
